Bruce Paul
BRUCE PAUL studied philosophy and creative writing at Ohio University. After graduating with honors in 1967, he traveled to San Francisco and lived in the Haight/Ashbury district. Bruce has been a singer-songwriter in a folk-rock band, an elementary school teacher in the Virgin Islands, a taxi driver in Denver, a counselor in a maximum-security prison, a bank loan officer, an investment advisor, a real estate developer, and a riverboat bartender. Bruce is the author of many songs and books, including The Artama Legend series.
In addition, his short stories, memoirs, and poems are included in multiple “best of” collections. He now lives and writes among the ponderosa pines in the mountains of central Arizona.

THE ARTAMA LEGEND began before time.
Eventually, on planet E3, in The Town, at the edge of The Plain, Artama was born—a specific manifestation of the probabilistic.
As a literary series, it began as a parable for children—Artama & The Book of Knowledge & Wisdom—although as a parable, adults can appreciate it. Next came Artama & The Watchtower Portal, a novella for young adults. The final book is Artama & The New Kingdom, a novel for adults.
The series follows Artama from his youth to maturity, and—as he matures—the subject matter becomes more complex, as does the writing.
Artama, as a boy, questions the accepted thinking in The Town and sets out on a journey to explore and discover the truth for himself. In time, he returns with new knowledge and a revolutionary message.
Unfortunately, his efforts to bring enlightenment result in deadly conflict with those who only want power and material wealth.
Action and adventure abound. Experience the array of characters, from wonderous, angelic Kora to lovely Cressa to despicable Tribb, Hape, and D’anor. Witness the hope of Korbin—The Hope of the Radiant Star—and the unintended consequences of the secret, illegal, esoteric writings of Artama.
The series explores the creation and functioning of the cosmos, love and hate, good and evil, free will and fate, life and death, the enigma of quantum entanglement, the verisimilitudes of time and space, and more.
A young reader will be able to grow with Artama. Eventually, as an adult, the reader may introduce Artama & The Book of Knowledge & Wisdom to a new young reader who will begin a new journey.
