Art has always been her refuge—a safe place to escape a difficult childhood marked by an abusive home and ongoing health challenges. Creativity became both a coping mechanism for PTSD and a way to bring light into dark times. Over the years, pen pals, quilting, and crafting nurtured her artistic spirit, eventually leading to a shed overflowing with supplies and inspiration. 

While health conditions and regular doctor visits make it difficult for her to hold a full‑time job, she finds peace in nature walks. About a year ago, those walks took on new meaning when she began picking up litter to dispose of properly. The bright colors of discarded plastics sparked an idea: instead of simply throwing the trash away, why not transform it into something meaningful? By turning what harms the environment into art, she has created a way to recycle the unrecyclable and reveal beauty where others see waste.
