DAVID KEHRLI
As a young boy, David began experimenting in his father’s photo dark room learning special effects on photo papers. He eventually purchased a used 35 mm Leica camera to help earn money to pay for his college education by taking pictures of school dances and stock car races. Some of his college classes included chemistry of the photographic process, and characteristics of light.
Upon graduation from college in San Francisco, David went into the U.S. Air Force, taking his camera to all the places the Air Force sent him. After five years in the service, he spent twenty-seven years working for the Federal Government in Washington, D.C.
After retiring from the government, David moved to Florida and became a Financial Advisor for T. Rowe Price. After leaving T. Rowe Price, he moved to Colorado, where he took several watercolor classes. David was juried into two fine art galleries in both watercolor painting and photography, and has sold many pieces in both media. While in Ft. Collins, Colorado, he submitted his art pieces to two different juried national shows and was accepted into each show. David has earned numerous awards and ribbons, including Best of Show and First Place in local art shows.
David’s primary interest is to capture interesting landscape scenes, but he also has an interest in close-up (macro) photography.
