I have always loved nature, color, and ceramics. In 2006, while on a cruise to Alaska, I had the opportunity to create my very first ceramic pot. That was it, I was hooked, and I knew what I wanted to do in my retirement years. Fast forward to 2013 when my career as a computer consultant was ending after 17 years and my husband and I moved to Prescott. I finally realized my dream of setting up my own ceramic studio and started playing with mud! After taking a few courses at Yavapai College, watching countless videos, and lots of practice I started to feel my creative side blossoming. I create a wide variety of ceramic pieces ranging from functional everyday items like mugs, bowls, and vases, to decorative sculptures and yard art. My garden stacks are comprised of multiple ceramic pieces stacked one on top of another over a 1/2" metal rod that is welded to a heavy steel base (like a brake rotor). These bases are typically either buried or staked in the ground to anchor them. If you are unsure how to assemble your garden stack, we will gladly deliver and assemble anywhere in the Quad City area.

Recently I have been experimenting with adding mixed media, like fused glass or copper, to my projects. The color side of my projects comes from glaze, stains and engobes that I apply and fire in my kiln. I love the depth of color that can be achieved by layering glazes. The possibilities are endless, and I look forward to learning new techniques and effects to enhance my work.
